Visit the Hamburger Banhof, a contemporary art museum housed in an old train station, check out the Neue Nationalgalerie for more modern and contemporary work, and say hello to Nefertiti - her famous bust is housed at the Neues Museum on Museum Island.
Sleep: The Circus Hotel, a funkily chic and affordable spot in East Berlin, nestled amongst hip eateries and galleries in Mitte. Excellent service includes options to borrow ipods, bikes, laptops, dvds, guidebooks, and umbrellas. Young, trendy, and even eco-friendly.
Eat: Hackescher Hof for a typical German breakfast amidst the Hackesche Hofe artisan workshops and galleries. Wintergarten Cafe und Literhaus for its moodily romantic environment inside an old house and the people watching to be had in elegant Charlottenberg.
Drink: Turn right off of Torstrasse onto Augustrasse and look for the corner with the unnamed "Bar."
Do: Dance at Clarchen's Ballhaus.
